Finance Director

One of our Finance Directors are moving on to new challenges internally and an exciting opportunity has arisen as Finance Director in Kongsberg Discovery’s largest division Ocean Technologies. The position will be reporting to EVP Finance/CFO in Kongsberg Discovery, and you will be part of the Ocean Technologies Management team.

Through insight, precision and clear strategic objectives, the position contributes to creating growth and profitability. We are looking for a responsible, analytical, and business-oriented manager. You have documented good results behind you, and you alternate between tasks of an operational, tactical and strategic nature. As Finance Director, you will have a central role and be an important resource in the Business Area’s improvement and development work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic financial plan that aligns with the division’s overall goals. Drive the financial planning by analyzing its performance and risks.
• Design, implement, and manage robust financial systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and data analysis. Leverage technology to automate financial processes and improve financial controls.
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly basis.
• Conduct detailed business forecasting, profitability analysis and evaluation of risk, opportunities and financial impact.
• Be an engaged business partner in the divisional Management Team
• Implement effective performance management systems to drive efficiency and accountability.
• Close follow up of our international subsidiaries.
  
  

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or economics and minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Good business understanding and analytical skills.
• Experience with bid processes and project execution is an advantage.
• Preferably management experience.
• Good understanding of tools such as ERP, HFM, Excel and Power BI (or similar).
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to relate well to people at all levels and to establish networks.
