Strategic Sourcing Lead

Location: Preferably Kraków (Poland), other KM locations in Europe can be considered for the right candidate.

 
Key accountabilities: 

  • Lead sourcing for all parts in the external supply chain including all new sourcing, supplier contracts, liability claims, supplier negotiations and Make/Buy outsourcing     
  • Establish, develop and implement a supply chain that delivers high HS&E, quality,delivery, cost and responsiveness performance
  • Be the interface into Product Management IPTs, ensuring purchasing and supplier engagement on R&T, NPI and all re-design requirements
  • Lead on cost reduction with the supply chain driving year-on-year sustainable cost savings
  • Lead processes connected with procurement, ensuring compliance across the      organisation                            
  • Work with the Global Category managers to establish, develop and implement Marine Sector global sourcing and supplier strategies that include all product and business requirements

 Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in direct purchasing/supply chain management.
  • Higher Education (degree in engineering or business administration.
  • Strong negotiations capabilities.
  • Understanding of the cost drivers and total cost of acquisition impact regarding selected commodity groups.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and re-sourcing (including LCC sourcing).
  • Experience with direct purchasing, industrial categories (e.g. machined parts, hydraulic components, forgings and castings, electrical, automation).
  • Ability to work in a team and to communicate globally.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
