Bid Manager - Fleet Upgrades

We are currently seeking a Bid Manager specializing in Fleet Upgrades to join a newly formed team within Kongsberg Maritime’s Global Customer Support division. This position will be part of the Aftermarket Sales business unit within the Green Team.

In your role, you’ll take charge of bid management, spanning from new product proposals to turnkey conversions. As a key player in aftermarket sales, your role is both exhilarating and fast-paced, involving numerous unforeseen hurdles. Drawing from your experience in project management, you’ll transfer those valuable skills into sales, ensuring that our offerings align with both customer and business needs.

Key accountabilities.

  • Lead the technical tender phase according to KM sales process as a Bid Manager in fleet opportunities or part of the Bid Team in other green team opportunities.
  • Provide Project Management expertise and guidance to other bid managers and bid teams.
  • Responsible for the overall milestone plan from early concept to handover from sales into our delivery organization.
  • Manage all integration and interfaces with existing assets and provide technical assistance to all stakeholders.
  • Technical reference for our delivery organization after handover.
  • Engage in strategical initiatives towards our customers to ensure growth in the energy transition.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s in engineering or relevant work experience in maritime industry
  • Proven Project Management skills from larger complex projects
  • Proven ability to combine theoretical and practical knowledge while communicating with customers.
  • On-site experience from retrofit, refit and conversions at maintenance and repair yards
  • Good communications skills in English, both written and spoken.
