We are currently looking for a high-performing Mechanical Engineer to support our partners from maritime customer support teams. In this role you will be responsible for design delivery for committed upgrade projects. In collaboration with the product management team, you will also be responsible for developing maintaining our product range. Due to the nature of the role, we wish you to have good communication and collaboration skills together with customer-oriented mindset.

 

Mechanical Engineer

Location: Gdynia, Product Support Services

 

Key responsibilities:

·         Creating maritime product documentation, including 3D models, technical instructions, test plans, and reports.
·         Creating and updating bill of materials using PLM system.
·         Creating and updating diagrams, assembly, and detail drawings.
·         Ensuring that product documentation is up to date, complete and consistent.
·         Developing product upgrades.
·         Performing structural analysis.
·         Supporting local and international engineering teams.
·         Constant development of KONGSBERG product's quality and service.

Key qualifications:

·         A minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
·         Fluent spoken and written English skills.
·         Good knowledge of MS Office.
·         Experience in using CAD software and PLM system – preferred NX and Teamcenter.
·         Experience in creating and updating 3D models, drawings, and diagrams.
·         Previous experience in maritime business is considered as an advantage.
·         Ability to work independently and support cross-functional teams.
·         Customer-oriented mindset with good collaboration and communication skills.

·         Act on own initiative, make things happen, and accept responsibility for the results.
·         Adhere to company rules and procedures and execute plans with commitment and determination.
