PROJECT ENGINEER – Ships Bridge Simulators

Located in Vestfold, Norway, the Maritime Simulation environment is a modern workplace situated in an idyllic town by the Oslo fjord only one hour from Oslo and less than two hours from Oslo Airport Gardermoen by car. Operations Department is responsible for delivering projects worldwide. We have hubs in Asia, Europe and Americas. Our current product portfolio consists of state of the art simulators for bridge, offshore, engine and cargo simulators. Our customers are educational training institutions, pilots, navies, shipowners etc. We continuously improve to live up to our goal of world class project deliveries, and we seek you who can contribute to this.

Main tasks

  • Plan and coordinate project activities in cooperation with Project Management
  • Project execution on the technical aspects
  • Technically responsible in project tea
  • Responsible for QA compliance to established routines and procedures
  • Produce drawings and documentation for assembly and system testing
  • Prepare technical documentation in accordance with prevailing procedures
  • Ordering material for the project
  • Assembly of Hardware and Software on production floor
  • Test systems in cooperation with the Project Manager
  • Installation, start-up and tests on site

Experience and skills

  • Technical education, preferably bachelor degree
  • Quality conscious, service minded solution oriented
  • Self-driven and high capability of multitasking
  • Good knowledge and interests for MS Windows OS, PC-networks and Software in general
  • Outgoing, service minded and customer focused
  • Excellent knowledge of managing IT systems
  • Preferably good knowledge with relevant Kongsberg products and associated systems
  • Preferably some experience with distributed principles like Client/Server, (Azure) Cloud and LAN communication
  • Preferably some experience with navigation and/or ship automation systems or similar
  • You have excellent English and Scandinavian communication skills (oral and written), including remote and cross-culture communication
