Kongsberg Protech Systems USA in Johnstown is seeking to fill the position of Purchasing Specialist. The Purchasing Specialist wowkrs closely with planning and production to ensure timely delivery if critical materials for the manufacturing process. Works with suppliers to place purchase orders and expedite production materials, as well as Repair and Overhaul (R&O) materials. Great communication skills are key to the success of the incumbent.
Essential job functions are:
A high school diploma or equivalent plus 5 years experience directly related to purchasing, contracts or supply chain -OR- a bachelor's degree in business or a related field plus 2 years experience directly related to purchasing, contracts or supply chain is required. Experience with federal government contracting is preferred.
A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to travel when needed. A good working knowledge or Microsoft Office software, with special attention to Excel, and ability to learn other systems is necessary.
