Our Integrated Solutions Division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg's Automation, Bridge Systems and Electro products and solutions. Since the development of the first Dynamic Positioning system in the 1970's, Kongsberg Maritime has always been in the forefront of developing leading Automation and Bridge Systems, and the Integrated Solutions division is responsible for maintaining and further developing that substantial legacy.

The Oil & Gas business unit in the Integrated Solutions division is responsible for delivering Projects to Offshore Production Units (OPU). We deliver Safety, Automation and Control systems to Oil Companies and Engineering companies.

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Project Engineer within our Subsea Department, reporting to Department Manager Subsea. In this role, you will be a part of the Subsea team with highly qualified engineers delivering SAS solutions for our Subsea projects and upgrades.


As a Project Engineer in our Subsea Department you will collaborate in integrated teams with engineering project partners and customers, you will participate in various kinds of projects, from large new build projects to minor MMO projects on producing installations offshore. Our projects consist normally of these activities: Engineering and configuration of SAS subsea system, preparation of functional specifications, SCD, test procedures and other project documentation, testing of new configuration, implementation of new configuration offshore, commissioning and participation in project meetings with customer.

Key accountabilities

  • Perform configuration tasks
  • Responsible for project documentation
  • Quality check own work together with Lead or Senior engineer
  • Ensure work is done according to project plan, procedures and checklist
  • Report progress, on regularly basis


Qualifications and experience

  • Engineer (B.Sc./B.Eng) in Computer Science, Cybernetics, Automation, Control Systems. Relevant experience may compensate for some of the education.
  • Minimum 1 -5 years’ experience, preferably with Subsea Automation systems.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to complex tasks
  • Independent, professional and quality-minded
  • Positive attitude, cope with challenges and finding solutions. 
  • Travelling onshore and offshore when required
