We are currently looking for a high-performing Mechanical/Hydraulic Design Engineer to support Anchoring, Mooring and Towing customer support team. In this role you will be responsible for design delivery for committed upgrade projects. In collaboration with the product management team, you will also be responsible for developing maintaining our product range. Due to the nature of the role, we wish you to have good communication and collaboration skills together with customer-oriented mindset. The role will be based Kongsberg Maritime - Product Service Center, Gdynia – Poland.

Key responsibilities:

• Mechanical/Hydraulic designing of anchoring, mooring and towing equipment
• Executing design for customer projects and participation in supply chain activities related to the delivery of the product
• Technical support together with relevant stakeholders
• Constant development of KONGSBERG products quality and service
• Taking a part in the further dynamic development of KONGSBERG Maritime Poland

Key qualifications:

• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical or hydraulic engineering
• Fluent spoken and written English skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in designing mechanical and/or hydraulic systems
• Ability to use relevant engineering software / tools (CAD and PLM)
• Previous experience in maritime business is considered as an advantage
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Customer-oriented mindset with good collaboration and communication skills
• Experience in supporting cross-functional teams
