Software Project Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen as SOFTWARE PROJECT ENGINEER, in Global Customer Support, After Market Projects. In this role, you will be a part of the Offshore & LNG team delivering “Full Picture” solutions to the maritime industry. The role is responsible for hardware engineering, ordering and documentation in department delivery projects.


Our projects are based on upgrading or replacement of Kongsberg Maritime and other makers, Integrated Automation & Control Systems on vessels worldwide. These projects will give you unforeseen technical challenges which needs to be handled during the process. The available time we have in projects are limited and require engineers with determination and ability to solve difficult tasks, in a short time.


Our technical solutions have success in the market; the goal is to maintain and strengthen this position in the future. We are now looking for our next team member.


Key accountabilities

  • Engineering and production of project documentation and applications.
  • Test and verification of applications within an integrated automation system.
  • Participate in installation and commissioning, worldwide.
  • Contribute to good team spirit, in the projects and department.
  • Obtain and maintain good collaboration skills (internal and external, customers, 3rd party suppliers).
  • Focus on the customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Travel as required to support our customers.


Qualifications and experience

  • Higher technical education.
  • Advantage with practical experience and knowledge of marine equipment and control systems.
  • Experience with K-Chief 700 and K-Thrust 700/720 is beneficial.
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in English and Norwegian.

You will get the training, coursing, and mentoring in Kongsberg Maritime’s products that is necessary to bring you up to a professional level.
