Compliance Manager, Asia Pacific Region

An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Compliance Manager for the Asia Pacific Region (APAC) in Kongsberg Maritime.  The Ethics and Compliance Manager for the APAC region is responsible for implementation and operation of the KONGSBERG compliance program by providing training, guidance and advice to the business, risk assessment/mitigation plan, compliance audit, Compliance Due Diligence (CDD), third-parties’ assessments, and investigations.

Key accountabilities 

  • Implement centrally developed policies and procedures along with acting as a subject matter expert on local compliance matters to the central teams
  • Provide advice and guidance to Kongsberg Maritime on specific Ethics and Compliance risks together with mitigation strategies, in addition to guide on interpretation, application and implementation of the Compliance program directives and procedure
  • Perform and review due diligence on third parties, conduct internal and external compliance audits for Kongsberg Maritime joint ventures/subsidiaries and third parties
  • Manage specified compliance processes and maintain necessary records
  • Delivering training on Ethics and Compliance topics
  • Compile and present data, statistics, KPIs and reports on ethics and compliance
  • Investigation of Ethics and Compliance concerns and Code of Conduct violations

Qualifications and experience 

  • Legal, accountancy or relevant business degree or experience within Compliance or Business support
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Work experience within in Ethics and Compliance, e.g., delivering training, presentation, conducting investigations, audits, and risk management
