VP Manufacturing and Improvements

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Vice President Manufacturing and Improvements, reporting to SVP Operations. In this role, you will be a part of the ISOL Operations Management team delivering operational excellence to the business.

We are looking for a highly motivated leader with manufacturing experience, business mindset, commercial oriented and passion for driving development and improvements. The role shall contribute to increased efficiency and manage sustainable growth in our operation. We believe the right candidate have a strong international experience, collaborative mindset, acts and an integrator inside the organization and with other stakeholders.

You will be responsible for KM ISOL manufacturing, assembly and test sites in Norway and China with a total team of approx. 200 people. The role will serve as center of expertise for manufacturing, assembly and test of Kongsberg Maritime electrical products, consoles and control cabinets, supporting all type of marine vessels to advanced offshore production systems.

Key accountabilities

• Secure productivity through utilization, operational efficiency and cost control
• Manage and improve manufacturing related processes cross sites. Secure standard business processes, tools, and capabilities
• Continuously developing a lean and efficient manufacturing structure
• Evaluation of and execute on make/ buy decisions
• Responsible for developing and implementation of manufacturing, assembly, and test strategies
• Drive localization development activities securing agile and robust delivery model
• Seek and drive producibility and effective sourcing in collaboration with product development

Qualifications and experience

• Solid Commercial and business understanding
• Experience from production/ manufacturing
• Continuous improvement – lean six sigma
• Ability to build and deploy business strategies and work across international boundaries
• Strong, proven experience in cross-functional team
• Self-driven and able to implement and follow through
• Strong collaborative mindset. Acts as an integrator in the organization
