KONGSBERG is seeking to hire a high-performing Sales Manager in the USA. Responsible for sales and support of acoustic instrumentation sales to civil engineering and environmental end users directly and through our sales channels in the Americas.

Target customers include civil engineers, facility managers and environmental engineers focused on Coasts, Ports and Inland Waterways. This includes civil infrastructure like bridges, dams and levees, shallow survey, and capital dredging projects. Core responsibilities include generating and closing sales opportunities, travel to customer meetings, performing demonstrations, attending trade shows, speaking at conferences, and conducting training on product applications.

In this position your main responsibilities are:

  • Secure income for Sensors and Robotics products in the Coasts, Ports and Inland Waterways market segment
  • Assist with the recruitment and relationship management of dealers for Mesotech and S&R products for the CPIW market segment
  • Build brand awareness for Mesotech and S&R products in the CPIW market segment
  • Conduct product demonstrations and workshops to build customer awareness and capability
  • Collaborate with product management, providing feedback and input on product functionality, training and documentation
  • Aid the wider sales team on quotations, order entry, order management and sales project management for field demonstrations and training as required

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Technical Certification or Degree Program as a technologist, engineer, environmental scientist, surveyor, or hydrographer. Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • A minimum of one year of technical sales experience with proven ability to close sales
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Willingness and technical aptitude to become a subject matter expert in acoustic instruments for civil engineering and environmental applications
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability for success with international clients
