Field Service Engineer – Bridge & Control systems

We are expanding our experienced operations team in Italy and are looking for Service Engineers within our Global Customer Support division.

In this role, you will be part of the team delivering service, troubleshooting and maintenance at our customers’ vessels in regards of Bridge & Control systems and advanced sensor systems.You will perform technical services on ships with our equipment, as well as remote support to our customers.

Key accountabilities
• Maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of in regards of dynamic positioning systems, Navigation elements and advanced sensors above and below the ocean surface.
• Service and assistance to our customers and colleagues in the region from the office in Rome
• Documentation and reporting
• In-house support, technical setup and assistance remotely to our customers in the region.

Qualifications and experience
• A degree in Electronics Engineering / Robotics / Cybernetics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education.
• General good knowledge of computer systems
• Ready and motivated for world-wide support activities
• Proficient written and oral skills in English (Italian language considered an asset)
• Ability to deal with several activities simultaneously in a hectic environment

o Experience with Kongsberg Maritime products
o Field experience from Maritime, Shipping, Offshore sector
