Field Service Engineer, P&H

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our Customer Support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on or operational experience involving main engines or thrusters. This role will involve providing product support to our customers and being part of a knowledge pool that provides backend support for the field service team both regionally & worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on providing exceptional customer support, commissioning, and service for the Kongsberg Maritime product range.
  • Cover service activities in Southeast Asia, fostering and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct workshop tests and prepare technically for assignments.
  • Ensure meticulous preparation and execution of assigned work, maintaining high standards consistently.
  • Generate detailed service reports, manage databases, and maintain relevant documents accurately.
  • Handle pre- and post-work administrative tasks efficiently. Willingness to undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of specific maritime products, systems, their functionality, and applications.
  • Certification to Operate and qualification to at least Level 1 in SEMAS required.
  • Relevant working experience in the maritime industry.
  • Excellent cooperative skills, communication skills, result-oriented, and self-motivated.
