Lead Engineer Hardware

Our Delivery Department for Hardware in Offshore Production Systems (OPS) are looking for a Lead Engineer to drive advancements in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS), with a strategic focus on elevating the FPSO market. You will also work with tasks related to new builds, upgrades, and expansions of KM’s equipment domestically and internationally, onshore and offshore. Some travel should be expected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as the department’s Lead Engineer for the FPSO market.
• Responsible for planning and technical solutions across disciplines.
• Participate in studies and bidding processes.
• Coordinate tasks both in-house and internationally.
• Engage in both small and large projects.
• Follow projects from initial phases to installation and completion.
• Provide training for new employees.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in automation or relevant fields. Relevant experience can substitute formal qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Engineer. 
• Experience with several of the following products:
• ICS – K-Pro
• ICSS – K-Safe / K-Chief
• DP (Dynamic Positioning) – K-Pos / K-Thrust
• Fluent in both oral and written Norwegian and English.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to perform independent tasks with a focus on quality and professionalism.
• Positive and solution-oriented, with good collaboration skills.

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
