R&D Engineer Electronics

To meet an exciting, expanding, yet complex and demanding future, we are seeking a Senior Electronics R&D Engineer to contribute to the future of underwater positioning and communication. As part of our multi-disciplinary R&D team you will both work on detailed designs and be responsible for the hardware architecture in new strategically important product development projects.

Responsibilities can include

• Development of electronics for extreme performance in extreme conditions using complex parts such as processors, FPGAs, high-speed data converters
• Digital, analogue, high speed and mixed signal design, including design of controlled impedance multi-layer PCBs using high-speed technologies
• Signal conditioning and processing
• Use of standard digital interfaces such as SPI and I2C
• Power electronics and DC/DC converters for battery powered products, acoustic transducers
• Hands-on verification and problem solving
• PCB layout

Qualifications and experience

• BSc / MSc degree in Electronics design, Cybernetics, Physics or equivalent
• Experience from electronics development from industries like Maritime, Defence, Automotive or Telecom
• Experience with design tools such as Cadence, Altium
• Familiarity with simulation tools (LTSpice, Python)
