Supplier Sustainability Engineer

As a Supplier Sustainability Engineer your main objective is to accountable for the due diligence process within a supply chain, supporting A&C and I&E with supplier engagement and compliance with regulatory requirements and KONGSBERG directives. Close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders is required to successfully complete sourcing projects according to KM sourcing process.

Responsibilities 

  • Work in Supplier Development team in Automation and Control division (supporting also Integration and Energy).
  • Work with Kongsberg suppliers to verify compliance with Kongsberg and regulatory requirements for Sustainability and ESG.
  • Verify GHG emission reduction program at Kongsberg suppliers vs SBTi guidelines and internal targets.
  • Maintain validity of data in Integrity Next system.
  • Contribute to improvement of requirements, tools and reporting.
  • Check and monitor external requirements/organizations like GHG protocol, SBTi, CSRD.
  • Promote Sustainability and ESG in organization.
  • Build relationship with internal and external stakeholders to effectively reach goals.
  • Create instruction and guidelines for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other supplier development activities depending on your skills and technical knowledge of products and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and experience 

  • Master’s degree in supply chain, sustainability & ESG, engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Sustainability & ESG area.
  • Knowledge of issues related to decarbonization and carbon footprint measurement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good written and oral English skill.
  • Good collaboration, team working and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical way of thinking and problem-solving attitude.
  • Self-driven way of working.
  • Auditing predispositions.
  • Excellent MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
  • Technical knowledge of Automation and Control or Integration and Energy will be advance.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools will be advance.
