Field Service Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Field Service Engineer at our Seatex division in Kongsberg Discovery to strengthen the team supporting our customers on all Seatex products.

In the role as Field Service Engineer, you will be a part of the team contributing to make our customer successful in being operational in their business. Your workday will consist of a mix between Field Service and In Office support, where you will assist our customers with your technical competence.

Responsibilities

  • Technical support of Kongsberg Discovery’s full range of Seatex products and system deliveries, through on-site service, and installation and commissioning work globally.
  • Be a contact person in KD Customer Services for external and internal customers.
  • Report problems and suggest improvements using KD quality tools.
  • Participate in duty phone as on-call engineer.
  • Support in lifecycle decisions and product maintenance, work to optimize Service and Technical Support P&L performance.
  • Travelling will be required. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience from offshore/ships electronics.
  • Electronic and or computer knowledge.
  • Post processing of sensor data and quality checks.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
