An exciting opportunity has arisen as Vice President Operations US, reporting to the President, US.  The US is a significant and growing region for Kongsberg Discovery and maintains some of our largest customers.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We believe the right person will have a technical or financial background and experience in people and financial management, as well as project management. The role encompasses responsibility for all tasks and actions related to customer orders and supporting our customers until projects are completed and signed off.  We are looking for someone who is collaborative, responsible, self-driven, and quality minded.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all US customer deliveries, regardless of factory or warehouse location.
  • Responsible for US warehouse and inventory, and associated optimization of both.
  • Senior executive responsible for partner and supplier relationships.
  • Host monthly Sales and Product forecast meetings.
  • Define and follow up on KPIs.
  • Responsible for program and project financial and timeline reporting, as well as delivery.
  • Some travelling is expected of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Master/bachelor’s degree within financial or technical fields.
  • Relevant experience within project management and people management.
  • Warehouse optimization is an asset.
  • Demonstrable Project Management and/or Operations skills and experience preferred.
  • Structured mind-set and work methodology, with the capability to understand and drive highly diversified tasks and resources.
  • Dependable to take complete ownership of their projects.
  • Enthusiastic and driven to not only complete their projects within time, scope, and cost, but to do so in a way that aligns with the values and mission of Kongsberg.
  • Takes initiative at their level to make decisive decisions that align with the overall strategic mission of KD Programs.
  • Committed and reliable with steadfast integrity.
  • Uses strong judgement and reports when issues arise.
  • Seeks knowledge in their field and projects assigned.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with other departments, product centers, regional offices, outside vendors, customers, and end users.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a benefit.

Pay Range: $145,000 – $195,000 annually (DOE)

Work Location: Lynnwood, WA

(may have the opportunity of 2 days remote within commuting distance to Lynnwood)
