Experienced Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our Research and Development team, strengthening our product development. If you have an interest in Systems Engineering and aspire to bridge the gap between product organizations, system level decompositions (requirements, functional, logical, physical and behavioural) and disciplines – this role is for you.
At Marine Life Technologies within Kongsberg Discovery, you will have the opportunity to challenge your technical thinking and analytical skills through close cross disciplinary collaboration.
Together with a strong team of engineers you will develop solutions, features and technology for marine life products contributing to sustainable fishery, underwater situation awareness, safe sea voyage and much more.

Responsibilities

  • You will have a key role in developing concepts for new solutions and further development of established products
  • Work closely with product managers, project managers, engineering disciplines and other stakeholders
  • Contribute in projects ensuring execution according to process, fulfilling ISO/IEC standards
  • System level requirements analysis, decomposition and management
  • Development of system requirements and system architecture
  • Preparing for test, verification & validation
  • Development of test descriptions satisfying requirements

Qualifications and experience

  • Technical degree from a University/University college within Systems Engineering or other relevant discipline (software, cybernetics, informatics, mechanical engineering, electronics ++)
  • Experience from Systems Engineering in complex projects
  • Experience from Product Development
  • Experience or knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), using SysML or UML
  • Experience with requirements management, systems engineering tools and methods
  • Familiarity with a broad range of technical disciplines
  • Familiarity with MagicDraw or similar modelling tool, system simulations, Matlab/Simulink, Azure DevOps, Microsoft applications
