Health Management Engineer

In collaboration with GCS Health Management Propulsion, this role is part of Kongsberg Maritime's GCS International Operations team. Key responsibilities include conducting condition-monitoring activities such as vibration measurements, analysis, visual inspections, and commissioning of online monitoring systems. Additionally, the role involves preparing and updating service reports for products under condition monitoring contracts, ensuring all work aligns with integrated plans, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Online Monitoring system Installations: Commissioning of online monitoring systems aligned within the HM business strategy.
  • Measurements and Inspections: Conduct relevant measurement techniques and visual inspections to assess machinery condition.
  • Technical Condition Monitoring: Confirm and monitor the technical status of (monitored) machinery using diagnostic data from both manually performed measurements and online systems installed.
  • Collaboration and Recommendations: Provide recommendations based on technical assessments of the inspected/monitored products in collaboration with PdM Supervisor, product owners, and product centers.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare measurement reports following established standards and ensure compliance of work processes with company procedures and health, safety, environmental protection regulations and informing potential problems that arise during work.
  • Communication and Improvement: Maintain active communication with local organization, stakeholders within matrix organization setup, GCS Health Management, and product owners and contribute to the continuous improvement of product and service quality and any other adhoc duties assigned.

Qualifications and experience

  • Possesses an IT-oriented mindset for technical applications.
  • Open to travel globally for work-related assignments.
  • Having a comprehensive understanding of various marine equipment is seen as an advantage.
  • Mobius ISO 18436-2 CAT I-II vibration analysis certification is seen as an advantage.
