Project Engineer
Are you ready to embark on a thrilling career journey? An exciting opportunity has opened up within our Marine & DP Operations (MDPO) Department for a Project Engineer. In this role, you will be part of Kongsberg Maritime, Global Customer Support, delivering decision making support and risk analysis for our clients. The projects you will be working on are complex Maritime operations, often involving our dynamic positioning system (K-Pos).
You will be working as an advisor for external clients and on internal Kongsberg Maritime development projects. The work you do will contribute to the customers’ decision making and will have impact on their operability; optimization of power usage and advising them for safer- and greener operations.

Your Role:
- Advisor: Work with external clients and internal development projects, contributing to decision-making, optimizing power usage, and promoting safer, greener operations.
- Simulation Analysis: Optimize client operations through detailed simulation analysis.
- Client Interaction: Maintain dialogue with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Numerical Simulations: Perform simulations of various challenging marine operations.
- Reporting: Report progress and results, presenting advice to clients.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: MSc or BSc in offshore technology, marine technology, cybernetics, structural analysis, or similar fields.
- Experience: Experience in cybernetics, hydrodynamics, or power management is advantageous.
- Skills: Knowledge of practical marine operations and dynamic positioning is a plus. Familiarity with analysis tools like OrcaFlex, Sima, Simo, and programming languages such as Python, Matlab, C++.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
