Project Engineer – Advanced Marine Operations

As a Project Engineer in Kongsberg Maritime Advanced Marine Operations, you will take part in exciting projects from planning to realization by combining our industry know-how and digital solutions with high-end dynamic simulations. We are looking for you who are self-driven, eager to learn, and want to be challenged. You will get the training and mentoring needed to thrive and succeed in this role. 

The business unit located at Lysaker is recognized as a world leading engineering and consultancy service provider within analysis of riser and umbilical systems, power cables and design and commissioning of riser integrity monitoring solutions. We provide advisory services during marine operations supported by advanced dynamic simulations. Our system deliveries department supports drilling operations with on-line decision support tools getting integrated with other KONGSBERG bridge systems.  

Offshore wind is an emerging business area with high focus within the business unit. We are involved in developing concepts for efficient installation of wind turbines including ancillary equipment like mooring lines and power cables.  

For newly graduates start date will be in August 2024. 

 

You will work with 

  • Project engineering – from planning to realization 
  • Modelling and simulation of dynamic systems 
  • Offshore work related to marine operations   
  • Assist in tender preparation and client contact 
  • Development of digital solutions for internal and external use 
  • Data analytics and processing 

We have customers all over the world so if you want to travel there is an opportunity to work some months in Rio de Janeiro or Houston for further knowledge exchange and to follow-up specific projects.  

Qualifications 

  • M.Sc. degree with specialization in areas like hydrodynamics, marine construction and/or marine cybernetics
  • Good grasp on Python, Excel or similar for data science and data processing 
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written  

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
