Project Manager - Propulsion & Handling

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Project Manager – Propulsion & Handling, reporting to the GCS Regional Manager North America - Propulsion. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through professional project Execution of KM Marine customer projects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • The establishment of clear and structured communication with the customer to enable the success execution of the contract and the achievement of the customer requirements
  • Establish a project organisation in cooperation with the key support areas
  • Coordination and confirmation of the scope of supply
  • Establish and implement the Project Plan/Schedule
  • Agree, commit, and manage project plan to deliver projects in line with time, cost, quality, and specification agreed
  • Follow up all project activities across all design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, delivery, invoicing, payment control and in service activities till end of warranty.
  • Maintain contract databases
  • Monitor and control overall project performance to address deviations from plan
  • Arrange internal project meetings
  • Communication management and contract progress follow up s with the customer
  • Change/Variation orders management
  • Resolve Customer Issues registering and handling
  • Provide in service support to customers throughout the life of the project/product till end of warranty period
  • Shipping documentation and coordination
  • Coordination of the commissioning
  • Warranty coordination
  • Perform Project closing / review / lesson learned with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Able to work in an Integrated Project Team environment.
  • Experience: 2-3 years working experience in marine related projects
  • Language skills - verbally and written: English.
  • Travelling as required.
  • Considerable experience in the management of projects of increasing complexity related to delivering on time, cost, quality, and specification. This included some period of non-core project management roles related to the management of projects within purchasing, commercial, engineering management or the like
  • Familiar with project management tools, techniques, and processes
  • KM systems literate - specifically D365/AX and MS Project or equivalent
  • Project Management certificate/PMP certification is a benefit.
