An exciting opportunity has arisen as Commercial Advisor, reporting to Vice President Commercial - Global Customer Support.  In this role, you will be a part of a small team supporting customers and colleagues in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, focusing on the Kongsberg Maritime’s aftermarket business in Global Customer Support.  The team is part of the commercial & contracting function in Kongsberg Maritime. You will be delivering commercial advice and support to the business in negotiating various agreements with customers throughout the contracting life cycle, advising on key commercial contract issues and identifying and mitigating risks together with your colleagues in sales and project management.

What you will be doing

• Support with business development opportunities linked to our sales initiatives for aftermarket sales, such as partnering agreements, service offerings and new contracting models.
• Advice, negotiate and draft terms and conditions, using judgement in balancing commercial/legal considerations against the requirements of the business.
• Support the timely resolution of claims, disputes and litigations in cooperation with corporate legal and insurance support.
• Support compliance with company policy on use of advisers, anti-bribery and export control compliance.
• Take part in commercial awareness and contracts training to sales and project management teams across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
  
  

We think you should have

• Educated to minimum bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as law, finance or business administration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contracts law and principles.
• An interest for commercial contracts and negotiations.
