Manufacturing Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen since we are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Waterjet systems business unit in Kokkola. In this role you will be part of a dynamic Waterjet team that works together to sell, design, manufacture and deliver waterjets of world class performance.

In this role you will work closely with engineering, foremen, QHSE department and production workers to develop our manufacturing methods and processes. We are offering an opportunity to work on a variety of tasks including production design of new waterjet units and improving assembly and testing of existing units. Business travel, primarily to our other manufacturing locations is required.

Responsibilities:

• Development of waterjets manufacturing and factory acceptance testing
• Work in collaboration with design engineering to ensure products are designed for optimized and safe manufacturing and assembly
• Define and acquire new tools and equipment
• Lead continuous improvement in production
• Maintain work instructions and quality documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of engineering e.g. production, mechanical design, or automation engineering
• Willingness to travel when needed
• Basic 3D CAD skills
• Work experience in a workshop environment
• Interest in developing digital solutions in production
• Good spoken and written Finnish and English skills, the knowledge of other Nordic languages are considered as an advantage
