Quality Engineer

You will support the organization staying compliant and develop our suppliers to meet Kongsberg Discovery requirements.

Craft a sustainable supply chain. Protechting People and Planet at every sourcing decision.
What you will be doing
- Work with suppliers on handling nonconformities and conduct root cause analysis with focus on electronics, mechanical parts, processes, and production
- Facilitate for and drive product and process improvements, mainly toward suppliers
- Participate in supplier audits as subject matter expert
We think you should have
- Bachelor’s degree within mechanical/ surface treatment or electronic/electro-mechanics
- 5 years’ experience from mechanical or EMS production. Relevant experience may outweigh formal education
- Competence with Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Production and process understanding
- Knowledge to quality management system ISO 9001, including root cause analysis (8D, 5Why)
- Experience from audit (lead or participated)
