Sales Manager, Propulsion

Our Offshore sales team is looking for a Sales Manager to work with our highly motivated and engaged sales team. This role involves early engagement with ship owners, designers, operators and yards to position KM as the preferred choice for propulsion solutions. You will work on exciting sales projects, delivering technical and commercial proposals in the sales process, work globally, connecting with product divisions and our global sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about how the market, our customers evolve and how our products and systems can make a difference in the Green Shift.
Our Global Sales and Marketing Division is a global function within Kongsberg Maritime, responsible for presenting the company’s total scope of products and solutions towards customers and marketplace. The division has over the years built up a renowned customer focused organization, determined to continuously provide the most innovative and reliable marine systems that ensure optimal operations at sea.
What you will be doing
- Ensure familiarization and understanding of customers need, requirements and operation to proactively offer relevant products and concept solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals within our Propulsion product portfolio including tailoring propulsion setups, providing OPEX/CAPEX analysis and optimizing vessel designs to fit KM products and meet environmental regulations.
- Ensure good communication and collaboration within own division but also across other Kongsberg Maritime divisions e.g. Global Customer Support.
- Maintain existing and new customer information in the CRM system.
- Collaborate and support local and regional sales personnel.
- Traveling as required.
What we would like you to bring
- Higher technical education, preferably on a bachelor’s or master’s level.
- Market-driven mindset and strong maritime industry experience.
- Technical background in propulsion systems and system design is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English, both written and oral.
