Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our standard thrusters, Azipull product group team at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will primarily focus on designing new thruster units, while also maintaining existing designs. You will collaborate closely with our product management team and other stakeholders. We value creative problem solvers with strong communication skills, as you will be expected to both design new solutions and enhance existing ones.

What you will be doing

• Design new solutions and products as part of our engineering team.
• Develop and maintain existing products.
• Provide support for our factory on manufacturing our products.
• Technical documentation.
  
  

What we think you should have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Previous experience with 3D design tools (we use NX).
• Previous experience with Siemens’ Teamcenter PLM software is an advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of shipbuilding and the maritime industry is considered an advantage.
• Good verbal and written English.
