We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our Sonar manufacturing operations. This includes managing Assembly, Test/ Integration, Transducers, Machining teams and Warehousing teams. Reporting directly to the Site and Operations Director, the Production Manager will play a pivotal role in production planning, resource management, and team development, ensuring smooth operations and the timely delivery of high-quality products.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production Planning & Scheduling:
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and customer demands.
    • Coordinate workflow between departments to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
    • Track production performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing Oversight:
    • Ensure the highest quality standards in all stages of production, including final integration of electronics and transducers.
    • Oversee hydrostatic pressure and hydroacoustic testing of finished products, including altimeters, single-beam, and multibeam sonar systems.
    • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and certifications.
  • Resource Management & Development:
    • Lead and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, across all production departments.
    • Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing staff to build a skilled and versatile workforce.
    • Partner with R&D teams to facilitate seamless integration of new technologies and product designs.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team of technicians, machinists, and assembly personnel.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, provide clear communication of production goals, and address challenges effectively.
    • Foster a collaborative and safety-focused workplace culture.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in electronics or sonar manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in production planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for testing and manufacturing processes.
