Sales Support Engineer

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for sales support? We are looking for a dynamic Sales Support Engineer to join our Aftermarket Sales Team and play a pivotal role in driving sales revenue and enhancing customer relationships.

About the Role

As a Sales Support Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by facilitating activities that drive revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships. Your responsibilities will include preparing offers for spares. Coordinating upgrades, field service, repairs, and overhauls with a strong emphasis on data-driven sales and proactive Maintenance Planning.

Serving as the link between the sales team, customers and internal departments, you will work closely with Aftermarket Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, and Customer Relationship Managers to ensure seamless coordination and efficient service delivery. To support these initiatives, we are looking for a dedicated professional to join our Aftermarket Sales Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize quotations based on input from the Sales Team for spares, upgrades, field service, repairs, and overhauls.
  • Assist Aftermarket Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, and Customer Relationship Managers before, during, and after customer interactions.
  • Help prepare maintenance planning packs across the entire KM product portfolio, including dry docking planning folders and maintenance documentation.
  • Proactively track and follow up on maintenance planning opportunities in close collaboration with the Aftermarket Sales Manager.
  • Support Aftermarket Sales Managers in identifying customers and vessels relevant for ongoing campaigns, ensuring their integration into maintenance planning activities.
  • Accompany Sales and Customer Relationship Managers on visits to key customers when required.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding planned maintenance activities and dockings, coordinating these activities internally.
  • Escalate relevant issues to the After Market Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, or Customer Relationship Manager as necessary.
  • Work alongside the Sales Manager to build and maintain strong customer relationships while understanding their needs.
  • Effectively manage timelines and deadlines.
  • Utilize appropriate systems and tools to manage local business processes in alignment with the sales strategy.
  • Take a proactive approach in managing customer master data.

Qualifications & Experience

    • Educational background within relevant subject.
    • Experience in sales support, aftermarket sales or a related field, if preferred.
    • Several years of experience from maritime or related industries is consider a advantage
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Good communication skills in English language  
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Familiarity with KM portfolio and maintenance planning is an advantage
