
Manager Control Systems
As Manager Control Systems, you will lead a team of electronics designers with focus on delivery of advanced vessel control systems projects. The department's primary task is to design and customize control systems for new customer projects and maintenance for the CanMan product. The team comprises application engineers, software developers and test engineers, responsible for product maintenance, customer adaptations, sales support, and quality assurance.
In this dynamic role, you will lead and develop a talented team, driving strategic initiatives to deliver a cutting-edge control system offering across different customer segments. Your team will collaborate closely with Project Managers and external customers to fulfill the requirements of our delivery contracts. A crucial part of your organization will be working with harmonizing efforts to standardize platforms and applications for control systems, this in close collaboration with Technical Product Managers for Propeller and Waterjet.
You will manage and distribute work within the team, with full personnel responsibility, including employee discussions, salary setting, and work environment management. Reporting locally to the site's management, you will actively work to enhance processes and efficiency. The reliability and safety of the product are managed through strict protocols. Furthermore, you will collaborate both internally within Kongsberg Maritime and externally with suppliers, classification societies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is attracted by leading a highly competent and independent group. Knowledge in control or automation systems is considered a merit. Good English skills are required. It is positive if you have experience working within engineering processes, process improvements, and/or have previously held a role as a team leader/manager.
