KONGSBERG IT is a global IT organization of 300 employees across the world. We are responsible for supporting KONGSBERG group’s substantial growth ambitions as well as ensuring secure and efficient operation of IT services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen as IT Enterprise Architect in the KONGSBERG IT, reporting to Head of IT Architecture. As an IT Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for develop enterprise-wide IT architecture to align with business goals. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, IT teams, and business units to develop aligned strategy, target architecture, strategic roadmaps, optimize technology investments, and ensure seamless integration of systems across the organization.
Your role will be pivotal in supporting the organization to continuously improve and achieve efficiency as we move forward in the digital journey. The role will be working towards KONGSBERG business areas Kongsberg Maritime (KM), Kongsberg Discovery (KD) and Kongsberg Group.

Key accountabilities
Architecture methodology and technology:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategy.
- Define and govern IT architecture standards, principles, methods and best practices across applications, data, infrastructure, and security.
- Mentor and guide technical teams in enterprise architecture principles and methodologies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, practices and industry trends
- Identify and mitigate risks related to IT architecture and system integration.
- Ensure alignment of IT/technology investments with business objectives and optimize IT costs.
Strategy and stakeholder management:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, future-proof IT solutions, advising business on direction/digitalization strategy and target architecture and roadmap
- Provide architectural oversight and alignment for major IT initiatives, ensuring consistency, security and compliance and compliance with architecture direction and best practice
- Ensure holistic perspective across various domains
- Handle stakeholder management
Qualifications and experience:
- Education: preferably master’s degree in business, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience can be considered instead of formal education.
- Experience within IT architecture as an Enterprise Architect in a global organization
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
- Proven experience with cloud-based, hybrid, and on-premise architectures
- Knowledge of integration technologies
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements in a global environment
As a person you have:
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to facilitate decision making, provide estimates
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
