
R&D Engineer FPGA
SEATEX, a division in Kongsberg Discovery, develops world leading products for accurate positioning, beamforming radar and radio communication systems, motion measurement, satellite payloads and situational awareness for ocean space applications. Our office is located at Pirsenteret in Trondheim where we have exceptional facilities for product development with RF/Microwave labs, EMC test lab, high-end instruments and a strong professional group of coworkers that welcomes you.
We are seeking a motivated FPGA DESIGNER to join our team! You will work in a team of experienced professionals to deliver world class products and have the opportunity to shape your own role in the organization. The main focus will be on developing our infrastructure products, currently providing communication and situational awareness for customers across the globe and applications from land to outer space.
Key responsibilities
- Specification and architecture for FPGA designs
- Implementation, verification and system integration of FPGAs on mixed signal circuit boards
- Participate in design and implementation of digital signal processing algorithms for advanced RF designs
- Integration of systems/products in close cooperation with hardware, software and mechanical designers
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree within Electronics, Engineering Cybernetics, Communication Technology or similar field
- Working experience with FPGA design for circuit boards, preferably using VHDL
- Good knowledge of FPGA simulation, preferably in QuestaSim or similar tools
- Familiarity with digital signal processing algorithms
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, MATLAB or similar
- Good written and verbal communication skills, preferably in both Norwegian and English
- Desire and ability to receive and share knowledge
