Project Engineer, Electrical & Systems Integration – Integrated Projects Engineering
We are looking for a Electrical System Engineer/Electrical Discipline Lead Engineer with a problem-solving mindset, who can collaborate as part of a team, challenge the status quo, and bring a new perspective to Kongsberg’s strategic goals.
Previous experience is seen as beneficial, however, Integrated Projects Engineering are committed to training and developing new engineers through a program of challenging tasks and supported learning. In this rose, you will report to the Department Manager – Electrical & Systems Integration Department. Your role will involve engineering of ship and electrical systems, including layouts and arrangements, managing and planning of the deliveries, and meeting the document requirements for key stakeholders.

Key accountabilities
- Contribute to technical delivery for Electrical Discipline in KM Ship Design projects.
- Responsible for coordination of technical execution in integrated projects. Work closely with the broader project team, securing approvals from customers, class authorities, and national bodies.
- Uphold delivery excellence and actively contribute to R&D initiatives and sales support.
- Team Player: Contribute to a positive social and professional environment within our team
Qualifications and experience
- Relevant engineering education, from college or university, or a Certificate of apprenticeship as electrician or similar
- Interest in any of the following areas is advantageous, and experience even more so:
- electrical installations in marine construction
- systems engineering or equipment design
- operation of ships or offshore installations or commissioning and service.
- CAD drafting and drawings, project follow-up software and shipbuilding/operational experience is also an advantage.
