Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Department: A&C Operation

Team: Integration&Energy

Location: Busan Jeong-gwan office

Main work tasks:

  • Project engineering
  • Cooperating with project manager, SW engineer, commissioning engineer and project resources at HQ
  • Responsible for performing hardware IAT/ FAT
  • Follow-up project hardware installation onboard until ship delivery
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and power-on when necessary
  • Supporting and cooperating for HW related issues with site team during commissioning stage
  • Technical support for hardware scope toward shipyard and end customer
  • Following-up project commercial within KMKOR contract
  • Checking and up-dating shipbuilding schedule for HW FAT and equipment delivery
  • Performing scope of work related to equipment delivery by KM or KMKOR
  • Promoting team work and building human relationship within team
  • Technical advisor & training for project engineer

 

 Scope of work as Electrical Project Engineer:

  • Make detailed design in assigned electrical package with relevant documents and drawings to obtain the necessary level of completion for purchase, construction, configuration, installation, mechanical completion, commissioning and sea trial.
  • Participate in the handover meeting with sales, internal kick-off meeting, technical clarification meeting between the project and customer
  • Review input documentation for detailed engineering
  • Review scope of work (Document List, Project plan)
  • Identify any contractual deviation of technical part and create deviation list
  • Prepare engineering documents and drawings according to the Document List and Project Schedule
  • Handle documents for customer and class review
  • Follow-up, review and ensure that the sub-supplier documentation become approved including comments from customer and class before design freeze and production start.
  • Follow-up and ensure the quality of equipment and materials, including report sub-supplier’s progress, Co-ordinate other engineering discipline’s technical input to the follow / interface activities
  • Prepare Factory Acceptance Test procedure and handle the comments from the customer, class, third party
  • Review the As-built documentation after Factory Acceptance Test from the sub-supplier, implement all comments and issue the documents for final installation
  • Define mechanical completion procedure, and monitor and follow-up the report of installation and mechanical completion
  • Do commissioning work within Electrical Package if required
  • Implement and update all accepted comments and changes from mechanical completion, commissioning and sea trial in the As-built documentation and hand over to the customer.
  • Evaluate the risk and opportunities for the Electric Solution projects
  • Technical Query handling if customer has major comments
  • Prepare lesson learned from the project execution.

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree with major of Electrical engineering
  • Preferred work experience for vessel switchgear design
  • Electrician licence
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Service minded
  • Motivation and skills to handle several tasks at the same time
  • Analytic skills
  • Preferably good knowledge with Kongsberg Maritime products, systems and applications
  • Good verbal and written English knowledge
  • Able to drive
  • Able to travel internationally
