Field Service Engineers

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer for our service department in Ulsteinvik. You will be a part of a very exciting and competent service team with the whole world as a workplace.

 
Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical service, maintenance, field repair, troubleshooting and upgrade existing Kongsberg Maritime propulsion products - including support commissioning of new project deliveries and technical support and assistance of our customers and colleagues.
• Assemble and repair propulsion machinery and equipment, replace parts on propulsion units and rebuild them.
• Responsible for / involved in troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service on designated equipment.
• Maintain daily communication on site with clients (where applicable), and customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. You will also collaborate with members of the service team, share knowledge and coach them.

Qualifications and experience

• Technical college/ University diploma covering equipment or related to the relevant discipline
• Experience from relevant maritime activities/work is preferable and can replace/compensate for formal education
• Knowledge about hydraulic and electrical control systems for machinery is an advantage
• Experience with customer service is a great advantage
• Good verbal and oral English
• You are able to travel as required
• Good skill using pc with windows in general
