
Director Business Development & Solution Sales, Naval Systems
Kongsberg Maritime (KM) has ambitions to grow considerably within the Naval domain. Kongsberg Maritime has for many years successfully sold and delivered products such as propulsion systems and stabilizers to Navies and Coast Guards around the world. Our Naval business is expected to grow further by providing more products, solutions and services to the Naval market. The main growth is expected to be achieved by adding automation & control, energy and digital services such as maritime simulators.
As part of this growth, we are looking for a Director Business Development & Solution Sales. The role will be part of the newly established Naval Systems business unit in our Propulsion and Handling division and will be part of the Naval Systems management team.
What you will be doing
- Be responsible for Business Development and Sales of Naval Solutions. These solutions will typically contain products from several KM product centres and products from external suppliers.
- Together with naval customers define, promote and sell integrated Naval solutions in close collaboration with our sales teams in Global Sales and Marketing (GSM) and Aftermarket Sales (AMS).
- Create and maintain customer relations.
- Position KM into the Naval USV market.
We think you should have
- Naval experience – preferably operational Navy experience. Experience from the Norwegian Navy is preferred.
- Experience from Business Development and Sales.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, precise and structured way.
- Active engagement with Navy personnel and leadership, Government representatives and business partners.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in one of the Scandinavian languages and English.
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
