Quality Manager - Naval Systems

Kongsberg Maritime has ambitions to grow considerably within the Naval domain. Kongsberg Maritime has for many years successfully sold and delivered products such as propulsion systems and stabilizers to Navies and Coast Guards around the world. Our Naval business is expected to grow further by providing more products, solutions and services to the Naval market. The main growth is expected to be achieved by adding automation & control, energy and digital services such as maritime simulators.

As part of this growth, we are looking for a Quality Manager for Naval Systems. The role will be part of the newly established Naval Systems business unit in our Propulsion and Handling division.

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to support project and product activities and conduct quality audits both internally and at suppliers. This role involves promoting a culture of continuous improvement by empowering teams, providing training, and leading improvement initiatives to achieve measurable benefits. The successful candidate will lead compliance assessments against requirements and follow up on actions to close any gaps. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with a global team to drive Operational Excellence. Some traveling must be expected.

What we think you should have

• Higher technical education.
• Experience from the defense industry or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001, AQAP 2110 and AS9100.
• Experience with classified information handling.
• Very good communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and oral.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills and ability to work in a structured, independent and proactive manner.
