Program Manager - Naval Handling

An incredible opportunity awaits you as Program Manager – Naval Handling. In this role, you will play a part in our dynamic Naval Handling team, delivering essential cutting-edge products for our business.

The Program Manager – Naval Handling will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team producing designs for equipment associated with specialist Naval Handling Systems, including Mission Bay Handling Systems. This role requires strong leadership, communication, technical expertise, and planning skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost effective, and sustainable engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle for our Naval Handling products, including delivery of Research & Development and improvement activities to keep our product at the cutting edge of Naval technology.

What you will be doing

• Overall leadership and management of the Naval Handling engineering team based in Ålesund, Norway.
• Develop engineering solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering professional development.
• Manage project budgets, resources and schedules for all engineering scope.
• Collaborate with clients, internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Nurture the innovation culture within the team to ensure our products remain at the cutting edge of naval technology.

We think you should have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (5+ years) engineering leadership experience relevant to this role.
• Proven experience (10+ years) engineering experience relevant to this role.
• Experience of working in a highly regulated industry.
• Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a "can-do attitude".
