POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Manager Imaging & Monitoring (IMO) is responsible for sales of sonars and related products manufactured at Kongsberg Discovery Canada, for the US Gulf region, as well as Central and Latin America.

This position will report to the Sales Director IMO, with associated responsibilities to the Vice President Sales for Americas.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales and promotion of KD’s products, solutions and services, with emphasis on Imaging and Monitoring sonars products and systems including but not limited to:
    • M3 HF
    • Flexview
    • Dual Axis Sonar
    • 1171 High Resolution Sonar
    • Altimeters
  • Specific market and/or regional responsibility:
    • Offshore, ROV, USV, AUV
    • Infrastructure inspection
    • First Responders
    • Subsea research
  • Active engagement with personnel and leadership at applicable commands and offices within regional defense departments
  • Participate in and lead sales bids in response to public tenders
  • Representing IMO products and services at industry events and advocacy
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other Kongsberg companies as appropriate for subsea related sales activities in the region

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or Science
  • Experienced outgoing Sales Manager experience, in subsea market; or operational experience on offshore / subsea with working class ROV / USV / AUV, preferably in Latin America.
  • Hunter mentality, developing new markets, new customer base
  • US Citizenship, fluent in Spanish / Portuguese
  • Residing in Houston, TX or New Orleans, LA, within range to be in the local office 3 days a week when not visiting customers or events.
  • International travel required 40%
  • Use Tools Effectively: Maintain high standards of CRM data hygiene, consistently log outreach
  • Follow best practices for outbound prospecting.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge as follows:
    • Develop new markets to rapidly grow revenue
    • Manage Existing customer base
    • Key potential customers and stakeholders
    • KD IMO products and services, plus working knowledge of other KD products
    • Application of KD technology
    • Clear understanding of competitive advantages
    • Knowledge of competing marine robotics companies and products
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending conferences, educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies etc.

The incumbent is also required to complete any other tasks associated with Kongsberg Discovery activities as deemed appropriate.

 

Work Location: Houston, TX or New Orleans, LA, commuting to the local Kongsberg office

Pay Range: $85,000 - $105,000 annually, DOE
