Software Engineer

We are searching for a Software Engineer with experience and knowledge from Full Stack Software Programming. You will be part of the Global Customer Support division, which is responsible for Kongsberg Maritimes services, upgrades, and support on our sailing vessels. You will work with software upgrades to our equipment and secure integration with other software systems onboard vessels.

Responsibilities

• Software programming of our application software for frequency converters, PLC systems, HMI Screens, and other application system onboard vessels (Mitsubishi PLC, B&R PLC, Vacon Application, Siemens application, ABB applications, Beijer application….)
• Attend supplier and customer interface meetings and equipment testing
• Support new technologies and participate in the development of our product range both onsite and remote.
  
  

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor or technical college degree in electro or automation system engineering or other relevant education
• Extended knowledge of either frequency converter Drives, power management systems, energy management systems and Energy Storage systems.
• Strong Software skills are highly required. Function block and Structured text.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
