Service Life Cycle Lead / Principal Engineer

As a Service Life Cycle Lead / Principal Engineer, you will oversee the Service Life Cycle of our products and offerings, delivering higher quality and more efficient solutions. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our systems and solutions for the marine industry, while increasing predictability and customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Service Life Cycle Strategy Development: 
    • Develop and implement service lifecycle strategies that align with company goals and customer needs. 
    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for service improvement. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new services and improve existing ones. 
  • Customer Relationship Management: 
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. 
    • Actively gather and incorporate customer feedback to continuously improve our service offerings and ensure they align with customer needs and expectations. 
    • Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive customer experience. 
  • After-Market Sales Linkage: 
    • Bridge the gap between after-market services/projects and sales by identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling after-market products or maintenance/SLA contracts. 
  • Service Lifecycle Management: 
    • Set and prioritize requirements to R&D from the After Market perspective. 
    • Lead a matrix organization of Discipline Service Technical Product Managers (STPMs), developing and running the day-to-day operations, and prioritizing tasks to ensure alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: 
    • Discover and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. 
    • Actively engage in Lessons Learned sessions.

We think you should have 

  • Technical Education: An educational background in automation, electrical, or computer science. 
  • Technical experience: Control systems, Integrated solutions; Interest in and ability to link details to a broader system understanding. 
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to create confidence between groups and departments. 
  • Commercial Mindset: Understanding the business aspects of service life cycle management. 
  • Customer Focus: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. 
  • Authority and Decision-Making Skills: Ability to effectively communicate product improvements and report customer needs to After-Market Sales, STPMs, and the Product organization.
