
Senior Validation and Verification Lead

An exciting opportunity waits you as Senior Validation and Verification Lead leading Remote and Autonomous (R&A) validation and verification activities at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be part of the Remote and Autonomous organisation working with internal and external stakeholders in creating, managing and implementing test and release strategies and operations in the Vessel-Connectivity-Remote Operation Center-Port Infrastructure pipeline ensuring its stability and integrity. You will be leading matrixed test and release activities as part of the R&A R&D team for complex and integrated SW and HW product development and deployment. Your responsibilities will include the whole product and technology test life-cycle management from project initiation to product ramp-down.

Key accountabilities
- Create, implement and maintain an overall validation and verification strategy for Remote and Autonomous products and projects in Kongsberg Maritime
- Plan and run operative testing activities together with test leads from multiple product and technology teams
- Create test cases and scenarios based on product and customer requirements with the aim to holistically test for improved performance of integrated products
- Report test results by consolidating and analysing findings and constructing comprehensive test reports
- Ensure a closed loop process from bugs to a sustainable resolution
- Improve and automate the testing by assessing the effectiveness of the testing process against targets
- Lead matrixed project teams and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the teams
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and seamless project execution
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize product and project disruptions
Qualifications and experience
- Extensive validation and verification experience in integrated SW and HW products
- Demonstrated experience in improving stability and quality of integrated IT systems
- Skilled in analysing bugs and finding root causes as well as creating and executing action plans to fix system issues
- Project management competence and experience, preferably in the maritime industry
- Technical understanding and experience about (maritime) automation and control systems. Knowledge about remotely operated and/or autonomous systems is a plus
- Master / Bachelor of Science or other relevant fields
- Fluent communication skills in English and Norwegian/Swedish, Finnish is a plus
