Senior Engineer, Electro AC Switchboard

In this role, you will play a part in our high-achieving switchboard, delivering essential technical solutions for our business. As a Senior Engineer, Electro AC Switchboard you are a key person for the green shift and part of the energy division in Kongsberg Maritime. In this strategically prioritized growth area you will be part of an exciting journey to shape the maritime future. Our growth ambitions are bold and the switchboard product area is a fundamental part of any vessel energy system. You will be part of a of experienced and motivated engineers in the areas of electrical, mechanical and application design. The Switchboard team has an end-to-end responsibility from sales to service and the product engineering function is vital to build a robust business. The product range includes low and medium/high voltage AC switchboards. We deliver from inhouse as well as third party manufacturers in Europe and Asia for the global market.

What you will be doing
- Work with the product in all lifecycle phases supporting the global switchboard business end to end
- Develop new and maintain existing product line of Marine AC Switchboards
- Cooperate cross functionally to make sure our product range is smart and cost effective
- Support our global sales team
- Supporting our engineering and commissioning teams
- Work with our manufacturing sites to secure cost level, productivity and quality
We think you should have
- Good knowledge about Switchboard mainly in the range 380-690V AC, but also medium voltage up to 13,5kV
- We believe you have a background from in product management, manufacturing, development, engineering or commissioning
- Good knowledge about relevant standards and class rules
- Experience from switchboard engineering, manufacturing and delivery
- Experience with protection units for low and medium voltage systems
- Preferably experience with software tools for switchboard engineering
- Knowledge about short circuit and discrimination analysis
- Field/commissioning experience is a plus
