Product Manager for Remote Engineering and Control

An exciting opportunity waits you as Product Manager managing Remote and Autonomous (R&A) remote engineering monitoring and control solutions at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be part of the Remote and Autonomous Product team working with internal and external stakeholders in managing remote engineering monitoring and control capabilities enabling remote and autonomous vessel operations from the remote operating centre. You will be creating remote monitoring and control requirements and release plans based on the customer and stakeholder needs and requirements.

Key accountabilities

Leads the hands-on product management of Remote Engineering Monitoring and Control integrated product

• Collects, creates and refines requirements for the integrated product that function as a basis for future business models and integrated products
• Creates user stories to capture and communicate the desired functionality and manages integrated product release roadmap
• Collaborates with customers and relevant internal entities like product lines and groups, sales and support to drive cross-functional alignment on product priorities
• Works together with technology and engineering teams to implement prioritized requirements into products and features, and sellable offerings
• Drives productization, product life cycle profitability and quality and ensures that the product meets the product requirements
• Benchmarks competitors’ solutions, cost level and market share to provide insights for product decisions

Qualifications and experience

• Experience in SW and integrated solution Product management
• Technical understanding and experience about (maritime) automation and control systems. Knowledge about remotely operated and/or autonomous systems is a plus
• An ability to move between product details and the big picture
• Tech-savvy mindset and ability to thrive in a complex and uncertain environment
• Master / Bachelor of Science in relevant field
• Fluent communication skills in English and Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish is a plus
