
Tooling Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tooling Coordinator to join our team. The Tooling Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of tooling operations, including inventory, maintenance, procurement, and scheduling. This role ensures that the right tools are available, in good condition, and delivered on time to support production and engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
- Complete inventory cycle count and seasonal warehouse inventory audits.
- Generate basic tooling reports and inventory sheets.
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are operatable.
- Assist in examining borescopes and electrical equipment, and support the calibration process for equipment sent out for calibration
- Assist in inspecting come longs and lifting equipment.
- Issue tools, tooling, tool kits, materials, parts and equipment to field service department.
- Assist in preparing shipment and documentation for international transportation.
- Coordinate with the logistics department for delivery and pick-up of tooling.
- Maintain tool kit inventory, restocking, and housekeeping of warehouse areas while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with purchasing department for ordering replacement inventory levels.
- Support the warehouse inventory system by establishing row rack bin locations and monitoring inventory levels.
- Implement 5s methodologies to continuously improve warehouse operations.
- Support other departments by overseeing shipping and receiving throughout the warehouse.
- Assist in managing the storage and handling of chemicals, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Operate a forklift overhead crane as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience turbine industry in tooling management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable of hand tooling for field use.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software for inventory management and documentation.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to tooling and equipment.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
