Business Controller – Defence Programs

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Business Controller to support our Defence Programs. n this role, you’ll be a key financial partner in complex, high-value projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, finance teams, and external stakeholders to ensure strategic insight, financial control, and compliance.

What you will be doing

• Monitor and control the financial performance of defence programs, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide financial support to project teams, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and program milestones.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with defence industry standards and internal policies.
• Support risk management and mitigation strategies related to financial aspects of defence projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including defence authorities. 
• As a proactive member of the program team, you will champion process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency across our financial operations.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably within defence, aerospace, or other complex project environments.
• Strong understanding of project accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial tools (e.g.,D365, Oracle, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Norwegian is an advantage.
