The Role
As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems from early development through final release. You’ll design and execute test strategies, collaborate closely with developers and product managers, and use your creativity and analytical skills to uncover hidden issues before our customers do.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has an eye for detail, and thrives in an agile, supportive environment. You’ll be part of the Integration and System Test Department, whose goal is to develop new and innovative ways of testing to make sure our highly complex systems are world class! Together, we build and tests future products for automation, autonomy, vessel control, positioning and navigation.

What You’ll Do

  • Explore, learn, and analyze the system to create innovative tests in collaboration with the test team.
  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and alignment with requirements.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks and pipelines.
  • Design, build and maintain test environments.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Track, document, and communicate defects clearly to the development team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and alignment with requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics, or equivalent experience
  • Experience or strong interest in software development and testing.
  • Ability to work with large and complex systems of systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (our main working language).
  • Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others, share knowledge, and contribute to team goals.

It’s a Plus If You Have

(Not required – we’ll support you in learning these on the job)

  • Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, PyTest, Playwright).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jenkins)
  • Experience in networking and communication technologies (e.g., SNMP, DDS, CAN, Layer 3 networking)
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity standards
  • Experience with maritime systems
  • ISTQB or similar certification
