Vi søker nå en Prosjektingeniør til vår DP Application avdeling for å bidra med innovative løsninger som driver den maritime industrien fremover.

Som prosjektingeniør vil du jobbe i skjæringspunktet mellom avansert softwareutvikling og praktiske maritime operasjoner. Rollen kombinerer kontorbasert softwarekonfigurasjon med igangkjøring om bord på fartøy verden over. Stillingen gir en unik mulighet til å se resultatene av arbeidet ditt i praksis gjennom avanserte marine operasjoner, som for eksempel muliggjør fornybar energi offshore.

Hva er Dynamisk Posisjonering?

Et Dynamisk Posisjoneringssystem (DP) er et avansert kontrollsystem som automatisk opprettholder et fartøys posisjon og kurs ved hjelp av egne thrustere og propeller. Teknologien er kritisk for offshore-operasjoner der fortøyning eller ankring er upraktisk eller umulig.

Arbeidsoppgaver

• Igangkjøring av DP systemer globalt (ca. 100+ reisedager per år).
• Softwarekonfigurasjon/-utvikling på kontoret.
• Testing av software på lab og presentasjon av systemer for kunder og klasseselskap.
• Samarbeid med tverrfaglige team for å sikre vellykket prosjektleveranse.

Kvalifikasjoner

• Bachelor- eller mastergrad innen kybernetikk, reguleringsteknikk, marin teknologi, elektronikk, instrumentering, informatikk eller tilsvarende.
• Gode engelskkunnskaper, både muntlig og skriftlig.
• Kjennskap til C/C++ programmering er en fordel.

We are now seeking a Project Engineer for our DP Application department to contribute with innovative solutions that drive the maritime industry forward.

As a Project Engineer, you will work at the intersection of advanced software development and practical maritime operations. The role combines office-based software configuration with commissioning onboard vessels around the world. This position offers a unique opportunity to see the results of your work in action through advanced marine operations, such as enabling offshore renewable energy.

What is Dynamic Positioning?

A Dynamic Positioning (DP) system is an advanced control system that automatically maintains a vessel’s position and heading using its own thrusters and propellers. The technology is critical for offshore operations where mooring or anchoring is impractical or impossible.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of DP systems globally (approx. 100+ travel days per year).
• Software configuration/development in the office.
• Software testing in the lab and presenting systems to customers and classification societies.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Control Theory, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong English skills, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with C/C++ programming is an advantage.

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority. The successful candidate may start work with limited accesses whilst the clearance is being processed. Please note that this might affect the offer process or employment.
